As you say, it could be the lonely female sitting all by herself.

And interesting to read your own interpretations! Do write the post.

-sgAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12259265.post-43253519452438802072007-06-01T01:59:00.000-07:002007-06-01T01:59:00.000-07:00sgI liked the shot for a couple of reasons -1. What could she be thinking about with the gloomy sky overhead and the indifferent sea in front? And is that her cycle?

Fundamentally, to put an existential spin on it (yes, couldn't resit it), I think I like the photo because it reminds me of what Bertrand Russell said, " individual facing the terror of cosmic loneliness"

2. The colours and the contrast. The green of her sweater and the auburn hair, the striking red of the life-buoy post, in contrast with the dull gray of the sea, the blue-gray of the sky and the coffee-brown of the gravel path leading upto her.

I wanted to write something to accompany the photograph, but work has kept me busy.

And is this who I think it is? Sluggard?

arundhathi

The Elements, indeed!musafirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15193219312921687895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12259265.post-91536905154038012692007-05-31T19:14:00.000-07:002007-05-31T19:14:00.000-07:00Visual media - almost spells The Element!Visual media - almost spells The Element!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12259265.post-91199171599046822342007-05-31T09:01:00.000-07:002007-05-31T09:01:00.000-07:00Wow!
