Thought it wud have been made into a movie much earlier !! Wonder how they are gonna show those long speeches of D'Anconia and John Galt !! That wud be fun !!
P.S - Maybe we can make it into a tamil movie - Have Trisha as the heroine and Ajith as the hero('Citizen' style)
blistering barnacles!!! I am no fan(atic) of Rand and is one fo ehr critics when it coems to her biased views on collectivism but even me have to accept this book of hers deserves a better pair...Brad Pitt and jolie just doesnt fit in :|
Btw long time..and loved your previous post....:) Though whatever do you mean by 'agnostic'? to me it sinmply doesnt exist...as far as I am concerned it is God's will that I am an atheist...no refuting that eh?:P
@ karthik: The movie idea never occurred to me. And it's not a book that lends itself to the big screen, what with all those dialogues which are the soul of the book. And I shudder to think of therest of the cast!
@ girish...! : Hey, long time man...Totally agree, with those two out there I have a feeling the movie will be "charged", if you get what I mean, and they might cut down on the dialogues :D
Nice to hear you enjoyed the previous post :)...as for being "agnostic" let me just say I'm spending my time to dispel all theories that have been propounded about Him :)..so till I'm finished, can't call myself an atheist, can I?
u know wat..we meet online next time, we should spend time finalising our cast for a movie adaptation..true the essence of the book mite never get reflected in the movie but then there have been exceptions...btw i hv been busy over the past few times u hv been online, adha message pannaley/
"A man is the history of his breaths and thoughts, acts, atoms and wounds, love, indifference, and dislike; also of his race and nation, the soil that fed him and his forebears, the stones and sands of his familiar places, long-silenced battles and struggles of conscience, of the smiles of girls and the slow utterance of old women, of accidents and the gradual action of inexorable law, of all this and something else too, a single flame which in every way obeys the laws that pertain to Fire itself, and yet is lit and put out from one moment to the next, and can never be relumed in the whole waste of time to come."

yes i completely agree with u ...and no wonder they are going to brutely murder the soul of the pic
@ anon. : Yeah, and you're never around when I'm online. But yes, interesting idea you have there.
@ shooting star: Absolutely, I have no doubts at all. M-U-R-D-E-R it will be.
My God.
Not that I am currently too fond of Ms. Rand, but this is true sheeeesh material.
@ prat: Exactly. You don't have to be a fan of Ayn Rand to know that this pairing would be a terrible, terrible mistake.
